Located in Middle Georgia, the Robins AFB Skeet Range is a State of the Art Skeet and Trap Range, designed to NSSA and ATA competition level standards.

The Range is open year-round, from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. for members only.

Memberships are available for Military and Civilian patrons. Members are entitled to discounted rates for rounds and extended hours.

The minimum age for shooters is 8 years. Shooters under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Eye & Ear Protection is required for all shooters.

Only shot shells with shot sizes 7 1/2, 8 or 9 are allowed.

Skeet shooting was invented in the 1920’s as a sport called Clock Shooting. The event is in part meant to simulate the action of bird hunting and set out to become a national sport a few years later.

The International Shooting Sport Federation recognizes shotgun events as an
Olympic discipline since 1968.

During WWII, skeet was used in the American Military to teach gunners the principle of leading and timing on a flying object. Almost every flight training station and base had skeet fields.
