Career Path DECIDE
The Department of Defense (DoD) is launching a career pathway exploration and planning tool called Career Path DECIDE (www.careerpathdecide.org) designed specifically for Service members, Veterans, and their families. Career Path DECIDE is easy to use, requires no user account, and can be accessed from any device (desktop, tablet, or mobile).
Career Path DECIDE helps users identify long-term career goals and develop personalized strategies for accomplishing those goals. Specifically, it provides:
- Ability to explore civilian career pathways including salary and projected job growth rates
- Personalized information about how to start and promote within a career
- Understanding of the knowledge, skill, and ability (KSA) gaps needing to close in preparation for a chosen career path

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)—formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)—is owned by Prometric and conveniently offered at the National Test Center (NTC), University of Maryland Global Campus, Eglin Education Center.
Credit by Exam can help students skip ahead, offers flexibility, and can save time and money. Form a “brown bag” study group in your unit and study at lunch time, or have a “study buddy.” Students can earn up to thirty (30) semester hours of college credit toward a CCAF degree by taking CLEP or DSST tests. Pick up a testing schedule at the Education Center office and find the study guides in AFVEC. CLEP and DSST exams are FREE to active duty members on first attempt.

USAF SkillBridge
If you’re interested in participating in the DoD SkillBridge (SKB) program, the first step is to attend a mandatory SKB briefing, available by appointment. The SKB program offers an opportunity for military members who are retiring, separating, and/or discharging with honorable conditions, to participate in an apprenticeship or internship. The SKB offers training that must demonstrate a ‘high’ probability of post-service employment.

The Robins Education & Training Center hosts a Commissioning Briefing for enlisted members interested in learning more about the variety of enlisted commissioning programs available, such as: Officer Training School (OTS), Air Force Reserve Officer Training (AFROTC), Leaders Encouraging Airman Development Program (LEAD), Nurse Enlisted Commissioning Program (NECP), Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP), and more.

Air Force Cool
Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line Air Force COOL is a pathway for enlisted Airmen to earn industry recognized professional certifications and licenses.
AF Cool Fast Facts
Eligibility:
- Enlisted rank of E3 and above
- Any Air Force component (Active Duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and National Guard)
- Possess a 5-skill level in a primary AFSC mapped to the credential *Members of the Air Force Reserve and Air Force National Guard must be on Title 10/32 active orders for the duration of the AF COOL process.
Leadership/Management credentials offered for members as an additional credentialing opportunity in the grades of E7 and above!
Credential mapping of 642 professional certifications and licenses for 190 enlisted Air Force specialty codes. $4,500 cap covers application and administrative fees, Airmen must hold 5-skill level SNCOs qualify for leader certifications in addition to AFSC related certification. Approved re-trainees who utilized AF COOL for a previous AFSC may be eligible for another credential in the newly awarded AFSC (on case-by-case basis).
