The Development Advisor (DA) acts as the principal advisor to commanders and supervisors on retention issues. The DA program is designed to assist supervisors when talking to subordinates about the benefits of an Air Force career. The DA assists commanders and supervisors in career counseling and conducts advertising and publicity programs. The DA also advises separating enlisted personnel on Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard program benefits and opportunities, advises on career progression and planning, monitors mandatory pay and benefits briefing programs, manages Air Force retention programs, and provides reports and statistics to help commanders assess retention trends. Enlisted enhancement courses are conducted for SNCOs, NCOs and Airman and Right Decision briefings for first-and second-term Airmen.

Course Description

Informed Decision Seminar

This seminar is an educational experience specifically designed to enhance one’s knowledge of Air Force benefits, highlight program requirements and processes. The goal of Informed Decision is to ensure personnel obtain the needed information in order to make the best decision for them and their family. First Term Airmen (FTA) and Second Term Airmen (STA) within 15 months prior to their Date of Separation (DOS) are REQUIRED
to attend unless pending involuntary separation.

The 360 Degree Leader

VA Claims Briefing

This briefing will provide insight into the VA’s Fully Developed Claims Program. The following topics will be
discussed: eligibility to file a claim for a service-connected disability, what constitutes a valid claim,
documentation and forms required to support the claim, organizing and submitting the claim, time limits,
increases in current ratings, etc. This briefing is INDEPENDENT OF TRANSITION PROGRAMS (TAP/Transition
GPS, etc) and DOES NOT replace the requirement for MANDATORY SERVICE TRANSITION BRIEFINGS.

Resilience Training Assistant (RTA)

RTAs can assist in securing resources and/or implementing training to address any unit identified needs. This training allows individuals to train their mind, just as they would train their bodies for PT. Learning these skill sets provides individuals with a set of tools designed specifically to help increase their personal and
professional performance.

The JEFC300 empowers Airman to reflect on their behaviors in relation to the Airmen
Leadership Qualities. It facilitates the journey to developing supervisory and leadership

the guardrails and guidelines of supervision

The NCOFC500 assists students in grasping the connection between attention to detail,

SNCO Foundations Course (SNCOFC700)

The SNCOFC700 assists students in engaging in strategic leadership at the 9-skill level,
offering a rich arsenal of influence tactics for changing people’s viewpoints and
behaviors. It assist students in learning how to build and maintain social relationships to
maximize their informal power and influence in an organization. The course goes
beyond managing into a proactive stance that will take the organization forward.

First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC200)

FTEC200 is designed to transition Airmen from a training mindset to the missionoriented environment. It reinforces lessons learned in basic military training and
technical training to prepare Airmen for their role in supporting the mission. The course
also provides Airmen a unique opportunity to further develop their warrior ethos and
continued expeditionary mindset.

NCO Professional Enhancement Seminar (NCOPES)

Location: Professional Developm0ent Center

This 3-day course is designed to augment and reinforce supervisory skills, gain expectations from Tinker senior leaders, and obtain current resources to assist in taking care of Airmen. The course highlights mentoring and counseling, writing skills, Chief of Staff’s Action Orders and how they apply to NCOs, and other core supervisory skills. The course is targeted toward Airmen in the grades of E-5 – E-6 who have not attended NCO Academy. The seminar is held once a quarter in the Professional Development Center.

SNCO Professional Enhancement Seminar (SNCOPES)

Location: Professional Developm0ent Center

This 5-day course is designed to provide newly selected master sergeants the necessary tools to make a successful transition into the senior non-commissioned officer tier. Team Robins leaders joined with Helping Agencies provide an in-depth view of increased supervisory, leadership, and managerial responsibilities, and current resources to assist in taking care of Airmen. The seminar is held every fall after MSgt results are released and early spring if there is a high demand.
