The Development Advisor (DA) acts as the principal advisor to commanders and supervisors on retention issues. The DA program is designed to assist supervisors when talking to subordinates about the benefits of an Air Force career. The DA assists commanders and supervisors in career counseling and conducts advertising and publicity programs. The DA also advises separating enlisted personnel on Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard program benefits and opportunities, advises on career progression and planning, monitors mandatory pay and benefits briefing programs, manages Air Force retention programs, and provides reports and statistics to help commanders assess retention trends. Enlisted enhancement courses are conducted for SNCOs, NCOs and Airman and Right Decision briefings for first-and second-term Airmen.

Course Description
Informed Decision Seminar
Location: Professional Development Center Auditorium
This seminar is an educational experience specifically designed to enhance one’s knowledge of Air Force benefits, highlighted program requirements and processes. The goal of Informed Decision is to ensure personnel obtain the needed information in order to make the best decision for them and their family. First Term Airmen (FTA) and Second Term Airmen (STA) within 15 months prior to their Date of Separation (DOS) are REQUIRED to attend unless pending involuntary separation.

Winning with People
Location: Bldg. 941 Professional Development Center
John Maxwell’s “Winning With People” Series is a five-part course. Many people focus on talents and abilities first such as polishing their communication or leadership skills or expanding their base of knowledge but forget that good relationships are the foundation for achievement. Winning with People will provide you with the tools you need to immediately improve your existing relationships as well as cultivate strong, exciting, and new ones. Using a unique blend of interesting facts, statistics, humor, real-life examples, and questions for discussion, Winning with People will show you how: The Skills You Use + The Relationships You Choose = SUCCESS.

Leadership Gold

In “Leadership Gold”, John C. Maxwell condenses a lifelong journey of studying and practicing leadership into 26 simple lessons. The 360 Degree Leader

The “360 Degree Leader” Series is a three-part course. How do you apply leadership principles if you are not the boss? It’s a valid question that Maxwell answers in The 360 Degree Leader. You don’t have to be the main leader, asserts Maxwell, to make significant impact in your organization. Good leaders are not only capable of leading their followers but are also adept at leading their superiors and their peers. Debunking myths and shedding light on the challenges, John Maxwell offers specific principles for Leading Down, Leading Up, and Leading Across and Down.

Retraining 101
Location: Professional Developm0ent Center
Did you know you had options to retrain into a new AFSC? Are you a Career Airman and interested in retraining or for a second time? A direct supervisor and interested to learn more about retraining for your Airman? This briefing covers First Term Airmen (FTA) and Career Airman retraining programs and opportunities. The Career Assistance Advisor will brief program eligibility requirements, the Retraining Advisory, specific entry requirements in the Air Force Enlisted Classification Directory (AFECD) and unique Exception to Policy requests for early retraining. In addition, the briefing will cover an application called the Air Force Work Interest Navigator (AF-WIN) that assists members with identifying potential retraining Air Force Specialties (AFS) by completing a customized career fit report that is tailored to your interests.
Junior Enlisted Foundations Course (JFEC 300)
Location: Professional Development Center
This course is a mandatory prerequisite for ALS. The Junior Enlisted Foundations Course 300 bridges the gap between tech school and Airman Leadership School. The course provides students with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to conform to standards, customs and courtesies, and offers guidance to help enhance the students’ focus on becoming highly efficient career field and 5-skill level agents. The JEFC300 empowers Airman to reflect on their behaviors in relation to the Airmen Leadership Qualities. It facilitates the journey to developing supervisory and leadership skills, developing the competency of leading individuals and teams, and understanding the guardrails and guidelines of supervision.
NCO Foundations Course (NCOFC 500)
Location: Professional Development Center Auditorium
This seminar is designed to augment, not replace, information taught in basic military training, technical training, ancillary training, airman leadership school, job experience, and Air Force Handbook 1, The Airman Handbook. Mandatory focus areas will include deliberate development curriculum and emerging topics. The course is designed for noncommissioned officers who completed airman leadership school and who have not yet attended the noncommissioned officer academy. However, it is open to any noncommissioned officer when seats are available. This seminar is open to sister service personnel on a space available basis.

Senior NCO Foundations Course (SNCOFC 700)
Location: Museum of Aviation
This seminar is designed to augment, not replace, information taught in basic military training, technical training, ancillary training, airman leadership school, noncommissioned officer academy, job experience, and Air Force Handbook 1, The Airman Handbook. Mandatory focus areas will include deliberate development curriculum and emerging topics. The course is designed for senior noncommissioned officers who completed noncommissioned officer academy and who have not yet attended the senior noncommissioned officer academy. However, it is open to any senior noncommissioned officer when seats are available. This seminar is open to sister service personnel on a space available basis.

First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC)
Location: Professional Developm0ent Center
The First-Term Enlisted Course (FTEC) is a five-day course which provides informative briefings and training for newly assigned first-term enlisted members. Military professionalism, Enlisted Force Structure, resiliency, and financial management are some of the topics addressed during FTEC. Upon completion of the course, members will be better able to transition out of the technical training environment and into the operational Air Force. Airmen are required to attend all 5 scheduled days and will NOT be able to attend personal appointments during this time.
NCO Professional Enhancement Seminar (NCOPES)
Location: Professional Developm0ent Center
This 3-day course is designed to augment and reinforce supervisory skills, gain expectations from Tinker senior leaders, and obtain current resources to assist in taking care of Airmen. The course highlights mentoring and counseling, writing skills, Chief of Staff’s Action Orders and how they apply to NCOs, and other core supervisory skills. The course is targeted toward Airmen in the grades of E-5 – E-6 who have not attended NCO Academy. The seminar is held once a quarter in the Professional Development Center.
SNCO Professional Enhancement Seminar (SNCOPES)
Location: Professional Developm0ent Center
This 5-day course is designed to provide newly selected master sergeants the necessary tools to make a successful transition into the senior non-commissioned officer tier. Team Robins leaders joined with Helping Agencies provide an in-depth view of increased supervisory, leadership, and managerial responsibilities, and current resources to assist in taking care of Airmen. The seminar is held every fall after MSgt results are released and early spring if there is a high demand.
